This school is based in Amman, Jordan and is looking for a Homeroom Teacher.

Overview:

The Little Academy is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Homeroom Teacher to join our team. As a Homeroom Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment where students feel safe, valued, and motivated to learn. You will play a crucial role in guiding students’ academic, social, and emotional development while fostering a strong sense of community within the classroom. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to make a meaningful impact on young learners’ lives.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons across various subjects, including literacy, mathematics, science, and social studies.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports students’ academic, social, and emotional growth.
  • Establish and maintain clear expectations for student behavior, fostering a respectful and cooperative classroom culture.
  • Monitor and assess students’ academic progress and provide regular feedback to support their learning and development.
  • Develop and implement individualized learning plans to meet the diverse needs and abilities of students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, specialists, and parents to support students’ academic and personal growth.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers to provide updates on student progress, address concerns, and foster a strong home-school partnership.
  • Organize and participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development opportunities.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching resources, technology, and instructional strategies to enhance student engagement and learning.
  • Serve as a mentor and role model for students, promoting positive attitudes toward learning and personal development.

 

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
  • Teaching certification or qualification in early childhood or elementary education.
  • Previous experience as a homeroom teacher or in a similar teaching role preferred.
  • Strong understanding of child development and best practices in teaching young learners.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student success.
  • Commitment to continuous professional growth and collaboration with colleagues.
  • Passion for working with children and making a positive impact on their lives.
