Role Overview: Psychology and Wellbeing Teacher
The Psychology and Wellbeing Teacher plays a vital role in supporting students’ emotional, mental, and social development. You will implement strategies that promote resilience, mindfulness, and positive behavior. You’ll also collaborate with classroom teachers, school leaders, and parents to create a culture of care and psychological safety across the school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach psychology and wellbeing programs to secondary students
- Integrate social-emotional learning into daily instruction
- Offer workshops and support sessions related to student mental health
- Foster strong, empathetic relationships with students
- Participate in the development of whole-school wellbeing initiatives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Education, or related field
- Valid teaching certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a relevant teaching or wellbeing role
- In-depth understanding of adolescent development and mental health
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
- Tech-savvy and able to use digital tools to enhance learning
