Role Overview: PYP Music Teacher
As the PYP Music Teacher, you will be responsible for leading engaging, inquiry-based music classes that support the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP). Your role will include planning creative lessons that integrate music into transdisciplinary learning and nurturing each student’s musical talent and appreciation.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver inquiry-driven music lessons aligned with the IB PYP framework
- Inspire creativity, collaboration, and expression through various musical forms
- Plan and lead classroom performances and school concerts
- Differentiate instruction to support diverse learning needs
- Incorporate technology to enhance music learning
- Collaborate with teachers across subjects to create interdisciplinary experiences

- Communicate regularly with parents, students, and staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Music Education or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- At least two years of teaching experience at the primary or elementary level
- Familiarity with the IB PYP curriculum or other international frameworks
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English
