Amman Academy is a certified Partnership School (Satuan Pendidikan Kerjasama/SPK). The school offers a comprehensive international curriculum and implements the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Middle Years Programme (MYP). Role Summary
As a PYP/MYP Music Teacher, you will teach music across a range of grade levels, fostering students’ musical skills, creativity, and appreciation for various musical genres. You will also collaborate with colleagues to integrate music into cross-disciplinary learning experiences. Your role will be vital in developing student confidence and expression through performance and composition.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Music or a related field
- Recognized teaching certification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of music education in the PYP and MYP frameworks
- Effective classroom management and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
- Willingness to innovate and use technology in the classroom
- Enthusiasm for working in a multicultural and collaborative school setting
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
