Position Overview: PYP Social Studies Teacher
We are seeking a dynamic educator who can deliver a well-rounded social studies curriculum aligned with the IB PYP framework. The ideal candidate will create engaging, real-world learning experiences that promote cultural understanding, civic responsibility, and historical thinking in primary students.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Social Studies, or a related field
- Recognized teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of two years’ teaching experience in primary education
- Familiarity with the IB Primary Years Programme
- Strong expertise in social studies content and inquiry-based pedagogy
- Excellent classroom management and student engagement skills
- High level of English fluency, both written and spoken
- Technologically competent and able to integrate digital tools into instruction
- Team-oriented, self-driven, and committed to continuous professional development
- Able to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
