This school is based in Amman, Jordan and is looking for an Islamic Studies Teacher.

Overview:

Al Ra’ed Al Arabi School is seeking a dedicated Islamic Studies Teacher to join our team of educators. The Islamic Studies Teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in Islamic studies, promoting an understanding of Islamic principles, values, and traditions, and fostering a strong sense of Islamic identity among students.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Islamic studies curriculum that aligns with the school’s educational objectives and standards.
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that cover various aspects of Islamic faith, history, ethics, and culture, catering to the needs and interests of students at different grade levels.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel comfortable discussing Islamic topics, asking questions, and expressing their thoughts and beliefs.
  • Incorporate a variety of teaching methods, resources, and activities, including lectures, discussions, group projects, and multimedia materials, to enhance student learning and engagement.
  • Encourage critical thinking, inquiry, and reflection among students, helping them develop a deeper understanding of Islamic teachings and their relevance to contemporary issues and challenges.
  • Assess student progress through a variety of formative and summative assessment methods and provide constructive feedback to support their academic and personal growth.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, promoting open communication, mutual respect, and collaboration within the school community.
  • Participate in professional development activities to stay informed about current trends and best practices in Islamic education and pedagogy.

 

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Studies, Education, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Teaching certification or qualification in Islamic Studies or Islamic Education.
  • In-depth knowledge of Islamic principles, teachings, and traditions.
  • Previous experience teaching Islamic studies at the primary or secondary level.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to promoting Islamic values, ethics, and character development among students.
