Role Overview: Cambridge IGCSE Science Teacher
As a Science Teacher at HIBS, your core responsibilities will include:
- Delivering high-quality lessons in General Science, Biology, Chemistry, or Physics
- Creating an inclusive, hands-on classroom environment that motivates student learning
- Assessing student progress regularly and offering constructive feedback
- Contributing to the development of science curricula and co-curricular activities
- Collaborating with colleagues and participating in professional learning communities
- Encouraging innovation and scientific inquiry through the use of modern educational technology
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science or a related discipline
- Valid teaching credential (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in a similar role
- Familiarity with the Cambridge IGCSE Science curriculum
- Excellent command of English (spoken and written)
- Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills
- Enthusiasm for working in a multicultural, boarding school setting
- Self-driven and proactive in enhancing the academic program
