Role Overview: Science Teacher (Upper Primary & Lower Secondary)
As a Science Teacher, you will inspire students through inquiry-based learning and hands-on scientific exploration. You will teach foundational scientific principles and foster analytical thinking, problem-solving, and curiosity about the natural world.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach general science to students in Upper Primary and Lower Secondary levels
- Create engaging, student-centered lesson plans aligned with international curricula
- Promote scientific inquiry through experiments, projects, and interactive activities
- Use assessment data to guide instruction and monitor student progress
- Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration
- Collaborate with peers to integrate science across subjects and co-plan school-wide initiatives
- Participate actively in staff development, parent communication, and school events
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science, Education, or a related field
- Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in an international or bilingual school setting
- Familiarity with the Cambridge or IB curriculum is preferred
- Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written)
- Strong classroom management skills and a growth mindset
- Proficiency in using technology to support learning outcomes
- A collaborative and proactive approach to curriculum enhancement
