Role Overview: Science Teacher
As the Science Teacher at WMSII, you will deliver engaging and comprehensive science lessons aligned with the Cambridge curriculum. You will foster scientific curiosity, analytical thinking, and practical skills in a supportive and values-centered classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach lower and upper secondary science in accordance with the Cambridge International Curriculum
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet diverse learning needs
- Supervise laboratory work and ensure adherence to safety protocols
- Promote critical thinking and problem-solving through experiments and real-world applications
- Monitor student progress, provide timely feedback, and support academic growth
- Participate in co-curricular activities and school-wide events
- Collaborate with colleagues to support cross-disciplinary learning opportunities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science or a related field
- Recognized teaching certification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in an international school context
- Strong classroom management and interpersonal communication skills
- Commitment to student-centered learning and continuous professional development
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
- Enthusiastic about contributing to a Christian school environment and community
