Role Overview: Science Teacher

As a Science Teacher at VFIS, you will deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the Finnish curriculum and IB frameworks. You will guide students in exploring key scientific concepts, promote scientific inquiry and experimentation, and create learning experiences that develop problem-solving, research, and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science or a related field
• Valid teaching license or international certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE)
• Minimum 2 years of classroom experience teaching science at the secondary level
• Proficiency in teaching physics, chemistry, biology, or general science
• Strong classroom management and interpersonal communication skills
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Passion for international education and cultural diversity
• Ability to integrate technology effectively in science education
• Commitment to continuous professional development and collaborative teaching
