This school is based in Ankara, Turkey and is looking for Science High School Teachers.

Özel Büyük Kolej is seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable Science High School Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching science subjects, fostering a dynamic and engaging learning environment, and promoting the academic and personal growth of high school students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Curriculum Delivery:
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in various science subjects, including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
  • Develop and implement engaging and innovative teaching strategies that cater to different learning styles and abilities.
  • Integrate technology and practical experiments to enhance students’ understanding and interest in science.
• Classroom Management:
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Implement effective classroom management techniques to maintain discipline and encourage positive behavior.
  • Foster a culture of respect, curiosity, and critical thinking among students.
• Assessment and Evaluation:
  • Regularly assess and evaluate students’ progress through assignments, tests, lab work, and projects.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of students’ academic performance.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their academic development.
• Parental Engagement:
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding students’ progress and any concerns.
  • Participate in parent-teacher meetings and school events to foster strong home-school connections.
  • Collaborate with parents to support students’ educational and personal development.
• Professional Development:
  • Stay current with educational best practices and advancements in science education.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share ideas and improve teaching practices.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Science Education or a related field.
• Teaching certification in High School Science Education.
• Minimum of two years’ experience teaching high school science subjects.
• Fluent in Turkish; proficiency in English is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of high school science curriculum standards and laboratory safety protocols.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
• Proficient in using technology to support teaching and learning.

Preferred:

• Experience in an international or bilingual school setting.
• Familiarity with inquiry-based and student-centered learning approaches.
