Role Overview: Sciences Teacher (IB MYP)
As an IB MYP Sciences Teacher, you will create engaging, concept-driven lessons in subjects such as Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. You will encourage students to explore scientific ideas through hands-on experiments, inquiry-based learning, and real-world applications. Your role also involves ongoing assessment, student mentorship, and collaboration with colleagues across disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver dynamic science lessons that align with the IB MYP framework
- Foster critical thinking, experimentation, and inquiry in the science classroom
- Integrate laboratory work, technology, and collaborative projects into instruction
- Monitor student progress and provide timely, individualized feedback
- Collaborate with faculty to promote interdisciplinary learning experiences
- Participate in school events, professional development, and curriculum planning
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in an IB or international school setting
- Familiarity with the IB MYP Sciences curriculum
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- High proficiency in spoken and written English
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and committed to educational excellence
