Role Overview: Secondary AP Science Teacher
KIS is seeking an experienced educator to teach Advanced Placement (AP) Science courses at the secondary level. The successful candidate will design and deliver engaging science lessons that prepare students for AP examinations and foster deep scientific inquiry.
Responsibilities
- Teach AP-level science subjects (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, or Physics)
- Develop rigorous, standards-aligned lesson plans
- Encourage critical thinking and lab-based learning
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
- Collaborate on interdisciplinary projects and school initiatives
- Participate in professional development and extracurricular activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum two years of teaching experience, preferably in AP or international curricula
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- High proficiency in spoken and written English
