Role Overview: Secondary Arts & Design Teacher
KIS seeks an experienced Arts & Design Teacher to teach students at the secondary level. The ideal candidate will bring energy, innovation, and deep subject knowledge to the classroom, fostering student creativity while meeting international learning standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in visual arts, digital design, and applied media
- Inspire students to explore creative techniques, visual storytelling, and design principles
- Support students in developing portfolios and preparing for exhibitions
- Integrate technology and design tools into daily instruction
- Collaborate with faculty on interdisciplinary projects and school events
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues
- Participate in extracurricular activities and ongoing professional development
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fine Arts, Design, or a related field
- Valid teaching license or equivalent certification (QTS, PGCE, etc.)
- At least 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in international settings
- Strong command of English, both written and spoken
- Excellent classroom management and organizational skills
- Proficient with digital design platforms and visual art technologies
- Committed to creativity, innovation, and student-centered learning
