Role Overview: Secondary Biology Teacher (A/AS Level)
As a Secondary Biology Teacher, you will design and deliver engaging and effective lessons aligned with the A/AS Level curriculum. Your role includes developing students’ understanding of biological concepts, encouraging scientific inquiry, and supporting practical lab activities. You will assess student progress regularly, provide constructive feedback, and foster a stimulating learning atmosphere that motivates students to excel in biology.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biology, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching license or certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum two years’ experience teaching Biology at the secondary level
- Strong subject knowledge and excellent classroom management skills
- Enthusiasm for working within a diverse international school community
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning
- High proficiency in spoken and written English
- Self-motivated, proactive, and independent in curriculum enhancement
- Strong communication skills to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents
- Ability to integrate new technologies to improve teaching and learning outcomes
