Role Overview: Secondary Biology Teacher
As a Secondary Biology Teacher, you will teach IGCSE-level Biology and contribute to the school’s science and STEM programs. You will guide students through scientific exploration, foster a love for biology, and build strong analytical and experimental skills. Your lessons will include lab work, collaborative projects, and real-world case studies to enhance learning outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging Biology lessons aligned with the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum
- Create assessments that monitor student progress and promote deeper understanding
- Incorporate hands-on laboratory work and interactive learning strategies
- Promote independent research and inquiry-based learning
- Collaborate with science colleagues to support cross-disciplinary projects
- Support science-related clubs, competitions, and events
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biology, Life Sciences, or a related field
- Valid teaching qualification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum two years of experience teaching Biology at the secondary level
- Familiarity with the Cambridge curriculum
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- High proficiency in spoken and written English
