Role Overview: Secondary Biology Teacher
As a Secondary Biology Teacher, you will deliver engaging science lessons that explore life sciences, human biology, genetics, and environmental systems. You’ll create a hands-on, inquiry-driven classroom where students actively participate in scientific discovery and problem-solving. The role also involves contributing to extracurricular activities, science fairs, and collaborative learning initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach secondary-level biology following the ACE curriculum
- Encourage critical thinking, observation, and scientific experimentation
- Integrate Christian values into lessons and classroom culture
- Support individual student progress through differentiated instruction
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance STEM initiatives and curriculum development
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biology, Science Education, or a related field
- Teaching license or certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience in biology or science
- Strong classroom management and instructional skills
- High proficiency in English
- Experience with ACE or Cambridge curriculum is an advantage
