Role Overview: Secondary Business Studies Teacher (Cambridge IGCSE – A-Level)

As a Secondary Business Studies Teacher, you will deliver engaging and analytical lessons based on the Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level syllabus. You will help students develop business literacy, entrepreneurial thinking, and a strong grasp of economic systems and business structures. Your lessons will connect theoretical principles with real-world applications and global business trends.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Business Studies to IGCSE and A-Level students using the Cambridge curriculum
• Design interactive lesson plans that promote critical thinking and application
• Incorporate case studies, current events, and business simulations into classroom activities
• Assess student learning through both formative and summative evaluations
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning and cross-disciplinary projects
• Communicate regularly with parents and support students’ academic and personal growth
• Participate in school events, professional development sessions, and academic initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Education, or a related field
• Valid teaching certification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
• At least 3 years of experience teaching Business Studies at the secondary level
• Familiarity with the Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level curriculum strongly preferred
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• Fluency in spoken and written English
• A collaborative, proactive, and student-focused teaching approach
• Ability to integrate digital tools and technologies to enhance learning
