Role Overview: Secondary Business Studies Teacher
The successful candidate will deliver engaging, practical, and academically rigorous lessons in IGCSE Business Studies. You will help students develop core business concepts, entrepreneurial thinking, and real-world application skills. This role requires creativity, structure, and a passion for teaching business principles to students aged 11–16.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Business Studies to secondary-level students following the Cambridge IGCSE framework
- Develop lesson plans and assessments that meet curriculum standards
- Encourage critical thinking, communication, and collaborative learning
- Integrate real-world business examples and case studies into the curriculum
- Support students in business competitions and co-curricular activities
- Work closely with academic staff to develop cross-curricular initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, or a related field
- Recognized teaching credential (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in an international or IGCSE context
- Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Business Studies
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- High level of proficiency in English (spoken and written)
- Self-driven, proactive, and committed to continuous professional development
- Comfortable using technology to support and enhance learning
