Role Overview: Secondary Chemistry Teacher
The successful candidate will deliver high-quality chemistry instruction to students across secondary grade levels. You will cultivate scientific curiosity, critical thinking, and laboratory skills, while guiding students toward success in external examinations and future scientific studies.
Responsibilities:
- Teach chemistry in alignment with IGCSE, A-Level, and bilingual curriculum frameworks
- Design and implement interactive lessons and hands-on laboratory experiments
- Support student learning through differentiated instruction and formative assessment
- Prepare students for standardized tests and university entry requirements
- Collaborate with science department colleagues and participate in school events
- Contribute to science-related extracurricular activities and competitions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry or a closely related field
- Valid teaching qualification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- At least 2 years of experience teaching chemistry at the secondary level
- Familiarity with international curricula and laboratory safety standards
- Strong organizational, communication, and classroom management skills
- Proficient in English (both spoken and written)
- Commitment to student-centered learning and continuous professional development
- Ability to incorporate technology into science education effectively
