Role Overview: Secondary Chemistry Teacher
The successful candidate will teach IGCSE Chemistry and contribute to a rich, student-centered science curriculum. You will guide learners to explore scientific concepts, conduct experiments, and develop strong analytical thinking skills. The role requires creativity, discipline, and a commitment to high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Chemistry to secondary-level students within the Cambridge IGCSE framework
- Create engaging lesson plans and hands-on lab activities
- Foster a collaborative and inquiry-based classroom environment
- Monitor student progress with regular assessments and feedback
- Participate in school events, science fairs, and academic enrichment programs
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular learning experiences
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry or a related field
- Valid teaching credential (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- At least 2 years of experience teaching Chemistry at the secondary level
- Familiarity with the Cambridge curriculum and IGCSE standards
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Proactive, self-motivated, and committed to continuous improvement
- Able to integrate technology effectively into science instruction
