Role: Secondary Chemistry Teacher

As a Secondary Chemistry Teacher, you will:

• Deliver engaging Chemistry lessons to students across Key Stage 3, GCSE, and A-Level using the Edexcel specification.
• Use creative teaching strategies to enhance student understanding and participation.
• Assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to support individual learning.
• Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages collaboration, curiosity, and critical thinking.
• Provide pastoral support to ensure students’ academic and personal development.
• Work closely with colleagues to improve the science curriculum and implement best teaching practices.

Qualifications & Requirements

To excel in this role, candidates should have:

• A recognized teaching qualification such as B.Ed. or PGCE with QTS.
• Proven experience teaching Chemistry at GCSE and A-Level using the Edexcel specification.
• Experience teaching general science at Key Stage 3.
• Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum for England and Wales and its assessment practices.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to professional growth.
• A strong focus on pastoral care, ensuring students receive the support needed for both academic and personal development.
• The ability to identify and address safeguarding concerns when necessary.
