Role Overview: Secondary Computer Science Teacher
As a Computer Science Teacher, you will engage students in exploring key areas of the subject, such as programming, algorithms, data structures, computer systems, and emerging technologies. You will inspire students to develop computational thinking and problem-solving skills through hands-on learning and project-based activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Computer Science across secondary year groups using international curricula
- Plan and deliver engaging, technology-rich lessons
- Prepare students for IGCSE and A-Level assessments
- Foster critical thinking and digital literacy in the classroom
- Collaborate with faculty on interdisciplinary projects and initiatives
- Participate in extracurricular clubs, coding competitions, or tech-focused events
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline
- Teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in teaching secondary-level Computer Science
- Experience with international education programs (IGCSE/A-Level preferred)
- Strong classroom leadership and communication skills
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Passion for innovation and digital learning
- Ability to integrate modern technologies into instruction
