Role Overview: Secondary Computer Science Teacher
As a Secondary Computer Science Teacher, you will deliver engaging and relevant lessons aligned with the Cambridge IGCSE Computer Science curriculum. You will inspire students to develop strong computational thinking, coding proficiency, and problem-solving skills in a dynamic, tech-enriched learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Computer Science to secondary-level students based on the Cambridge IGCSE syllabus
- Develop lesson plans that promote hands-on learning, critical thinking, and digital literacy
- Create and assess projects that encourage student creativity and technical skills
- Integrate real-world technologies and programming tools to enhance student engagement
- Collaborate with faculty on interdisciplinary initiatives and digital learning strategies
- Support extracurricular programs in robotics, coding, or STEM-related fields
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
- Valid teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- At least 2 years of teaching experience, ideally in a Cambridge international setting
- In-depth knowledge of the IGCSE Computer Science syllabus and modern programming languages
- Strong classroom management and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent command of English (spoken and written)
- Proactive, tech-savvy, and dedicated to continuous professional development
