Role Overview: Secondary Computer Science Teacher

As a Secondary Computer Science Teacher, you will help students build essential 21st-century skills in programming, data structures, and computational thinking. You will deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Cambridge curriculum while fostering problem-solving and digital fluency in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Computer Science to students in Key Stage 3 and IGCSE/A-level courses
• Design interactive, student-centered lessons that promote active learning
• Use educational technology tools to enhance instruction and student engagement
• Prepare students for practical projects, coursework, and exams
• Support co-curricular initiatives such as coding clubs or tech fairs
• Collaborate with peers to develop cross-curricular learning experiences

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
• Valid teaching license or certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
• At least 2 years of relevant teaching experience
• Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, or C++)
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• High-level fluency in spoken and written English
• Passion for technology and education in a multicultural environment
