The Canadian International School Kunshan (CISK) is currently seeking a passionate and experienced Secondary DP Biology Teacher to join our vibrant international faculty. About Canadian International School Kunshan
Founded in 2012, CISK began by offering the Ontario (Canada) curriculum and has since grown into a fully authorized IB Continuum School, providing the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), and Diploma Programme (DP). CISK serves students from early years through Grade 12 and hosts a culturally diverse student body representing more than 24 nationalities.

Role Overview: Secondary DP Biology Teacher
As a DP Biology Teacher, you will deliver a rigorous and engaging biology curriculum that supports the IB Diploma Programme standards. You will foster scientific curiosity, critical thinking, and independent learning in students while contributing to the broader science department and school culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement lessons aligned with the IB DP Biology curriculum
- Facilitate inquiry-based learning that encourages student exploration and understanding
- Use varied assessment methods to evaluate and support student progress
- Integrate digital tools to enhance instruction and student engagement
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
- Collaborate with teaching teams, coordinators, and parents to support student success
- Participate actively in professional development and school events
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biology, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching license or certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent)
- At least 2 years of relevant teaching experience; IB DP experience preferred
- In-depth knowledge of the IB Diploma Programme curriculum
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Technologically competent and open to innovative teaching strategies
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Committed to professional growth and collaboration
