Role: Secondary Drama Teacher
We are looking for a talented Secondary Drama Teacher who can inspire students through dynamic performances, engaging lessons, and innovative teaching techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Drama lessons aligned with the National Curriculum for England.
- Plan and implement creative activities that encourage student participation and self-expression.
- Teach Drama from KS3 to KS5, ensuring students gain strong performance, interpretation, and technical skills.
- Organize and direct school productions, theatre workshops, and drama clubs to enrich student experiences.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies that promote learning through performance.
- Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support individual growth.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities, school events, and performing arts initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- B.Ed. in Drama or a related field, or a degree with PGCE/PGDE and strong subject knowledge.
- Minimum of three years’ experience teaching Drama within the National Curriculum for England.
- Proven experience teaching KS3, KS4, and KS5 Drama.
- The ability to teach an additional subject is desirable.
- A commitment to fostering creativity and delivering engaging, student-focused lessons.
- Strong organizational skills to manage performances, rehearsals, and curriculum planning.
