Role Overview: Secondary Economics Teacher
As a Secondary Economics Teacher at GPS, you will deliver engaging lessons aligned with the A/AS Level curriculum. You will teach economic theories, market structures, and financial principles, helping students develop analytical skills and a deep understanding of economic concepts. Your role involves fostering critical thinking, encouraging student participation, and supporting academic achievement in a collaborative learning environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Education, or related field
- Valid teaching certification or license (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum two years of teaching experience in economics or a related subject
- Strong knowledge of A/AS Level Economics curriculum and assessment standards
- Excellent classroom management and effective communication skills
- Enthusiasm for working within a multicultural international school setting
- Commitment to continuous professional development and learning
- High proficiency in spoken and written English
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and contribute to curriculum development
- Strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents
