Role Overview: Secondary Economics Teacher
We are seeking a dedicated Economics educator with strong content knowledge and a commitment to student achievement. You will teach Economics to secondary students following the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum and play a key role in delivering engaging, inquiry-based lessons that encourage critical thinking and real-world application.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver Economics lessons aligned with Cambridge IGCSE standards
- Design engaging learning materials and activities
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback
- Foster a classroom culture of curiosity and academic excellence
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and school initiatives
- Participate in professional development and school events
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics or a related discipline
- Teaching certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- At least 2 years of relevant teaching experience
- Familiarity with the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Strong proficiency in English (spoken and written)
- Passion for teaching in a diverse international school environment
- Ability to integrate technology into teaching effectively
