Role Overview
The Secondary Economics Teacher will deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons that explore microeconomics, macroeconomics, global trade, and market systems. The role requires a forward-thinking educator who can relate economic theory to real-world events and promote financial literacy among students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver interactive lessons aligned with international curriculum standards
- Design unit and lesson plans that encourage critical and independent thinking
- Evaluate student progress through assessments and provide timely feedback
- Use technology effectively to support teaching and learning
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance interdisciplinary instruction
- Support student participation in academic competitions and projects
- Communicate regularly with parents and the broader school community
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics or a closely related field
- Valid teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3–5 years teaching Economics at the secondary level
- Strong knowledge of international education systems and assessment standards
- Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
- High proficiency in spoken and written English
- Ability to work independently and contribute to school-wide initiatives
- Passion for student-centered learning and continuous professional development
