Role: Secondary Economics Teacher

The school is seeking an experienced Secondary Economics Teacher to deliver engaging lessons that inspire students to excel. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team committed to preparing students for academic achievement and real-world success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality Economics lessons aligned with the National Curriculum for England for KS3, KS4, and KS5.
• Plan and implement engaging lessons that develop students’ understanding of economic principles and financial literacy.
• Support the transition of Economics into KS5 to prepare students for A-Level Economics.
• Lead the development and delivery of the Business Studies and Economics curriculum.
• Collaborate with colleagues to create interdisciplinary links that enhance learning.
• Provide additional support to students preparing for GCSE and A-Level examinations.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• B.Ed. degree or PGCE/PGDE with a strong focus on Economics and Business Studies.
• At least three years of teaching experience in the National Curriculum for England.
• Proven experience delivering KS3, KS4, and KS5 Economics lessons.
• The ability to teach a second subject such as Mathematics or Computing is essential.
• Strong leadership skills to oversee the Business Studies and Economics curriculum.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
