Role Overview: Secondary English Teacher
The Secondary English Teacher will design and deliver engaging English Language and Literature lessons for students at Key Stage 3, IGCSE, and A-Level. The role requires strong subject expertise, a passion for language and literature, and the ability to motivate students to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons aligned with the Cambridge curriculum
- Support student progress through effective assessment and feedback
- Promote reading, writing, and critical analysis skills across grade levels
- Foster a classroom culture of inclusion, curiosity, and respect
- Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary and co-curricular initiatives
- Communicate effectively with parents and the wider school community
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum two years of relevant teaching experience
- Experience with international or British curricula strongly preferred
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Ability to integrate technology into teaching practice
