Role Overview
The Secondary English Teacher (First Language) will teach English Language and Literature to students across various year levels. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong subject knowledge, a passion for reading and writing, and the ability to engage students in active learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with international standards
- Develop creative assessments and learning materials
- Encourage students to think analytically and express themselves confidently
- Foster a love for literature, writing, and effective communication
- Track student progress and provide meaningful feedback
- Integrate digital tools to enhance teaching and learning
- Collaborate with colleagues to support interdisciplinary learning and school-wide initiatives
- Build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Literature, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant teaching experience
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
- Ability to inspire students from diverse cultural backgrounds
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Passion for continuous professional development and educational innovation
