About the Role

The successful applicant will teach Cambridge English as a First Language to secondary-level students. This role requires the ability to deliver engaging and rigorous instruction while fostering critical thinking, writing proficiency, and a deep appreciation for literature.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality English First Language lessons aligned with the Cambridge curriculum
• Plan, prepare, and assess units of work that challenge and support all learners
• Encourage analytical and creative thinking through varied teaching strategies
• Track academic progress using a range of formative and summative assessments
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning and school-wide activities
• Maintain positive classroom discipline and cultivate a respectful learning environment
• Integrate educational technology to enhance student engagement and achievement
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and well-being

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Literature, Education, or a related field
• Recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
• Experience teaching Cambridge IGCSE or equivalent curriculum
• Strong command of written and spoken English
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• A passion for language education and student-centered learning
• Ability to adapt lessons to suit diverse learners in an international setting
• Demonstrated commitment to professional growth and school improvement
