Role Overview: Secondary English Teacher (Native Speaker)
As a Secondary English Teacher, you will deliver engaging and differentiated English Language and Literature lessons to students at the middle and high school levels. You will help students develop strong analytical, writing, and communication skills while preparing them for Cambridge exams and future academic success.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach English Language and Literature in alignment with the Cambridge curriculum
- Prepare students for IGCSE and A-level English exams
- Promote reading, critical thinking, and effective writing across disciplines
- Integrate digital tools and resources to support lesson objectives
- Maintain a classroom environment that encourages inquiry and creativity
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance instructional practices
- Provide timely feedback and communicate effectively with students and parents
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Education, or a related field
- Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or international equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a secondary school
- Native-level fluency in English (spoken and written)
- Familiarity with Cambridge curriculum (preferred)
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and committed to ongoing professional development
