Role Overview

The Secondary English Teacher will teach English Language Arts to middle and high school students within a supportive, faith-based environment. This role involves designing lessons that encourage critical thinking, creativity, and a love for literature. Teachers are expected to integrate Christian values into their instruction, engage students in meaningful discussions, and prepare them for academic success.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach English Language Arts to secondary-level students
• Develop engaging, student-centered lessons that promote critical analysis and communication skills
• Provide timely feedback and assessments to support student growth
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning and cross-disciplinary projects
• Use technology to enhance teaching and learning outcomes
• Contribute to extracurricular activities, clubs, and school community initiatives
• Maintain strong communication with students, parents, and colleagues

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Education, or a related field
• Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
• Minimum three years of teaching experience, preferably in an international or Christian school
• Strong knowledge of English literature and language instruction
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Commitment to professional growth and innovative teaching practices
• High proficiency in spoken and written English
• Enthusiasm for teaching in a diverse international Christian community
