Role: Secondary English Teacher

As a Secondary English Teacher, you will:

• Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons in English Language and English Literature to students across Key Stage 3, GCSE,
• and A-Level following the Edexcel specification.
• Use creative teaching strategies to develop students’ reading, writing, and critical thinking skills.
• Assess student progress through regular feedback, ensuring each learner receives the support they need to succeed.
• Implement effective classroom management techniques to maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the English curriculum and share innovative teaching methods.
• Provide pastoral care, helping students balance academic achievement with emotional well-being.
• Identify and address safeguarding concerns to ensure student safety.

Qualifications & Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

• A recognized teaching qualification such as B.Ed. or PGCE with QTS.
• Proven experience teaching English Language and English Literature at GCSE and A-Level, using the Edexcel specification.
• A full working knowledge of the National Curriculum for England and Wales and its assessment practices.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to professional development.
• A passion for creating engaging learning experiences that inspire students to excel.
