Role: Secondary English Teacher

As a Secondary English Teacher, you will guide students in developing strong language skills, fostering creativity, and enhancing their understanding of literature. Your role will be crucial in shaping confident communicators with a passion for reading and writing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and well-structured English lessons aligned with the National Curriculum for England.
• Teach KS3, KS4, and KS5 English classes, ensuring all students are supported and challenged appropriately.
• Develop engaging lesson plans that inspire critical thinking, creativity, and effective communication.
• Use differentiated teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
• Monitor student progress, provide timely feedback, and support academic growth.
• Encourage participation in creative writing, public speaking, and literature-based projects.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies and share best practices.
• Participate in extracurricular activities, school events, and professional development programs.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• B.Ed. in English or a degree with PGCE/PGDE and strong subject knowledge.
• Minimum of three years’ experience teaching the National Curriculum for England.
• Proven experience teaching English from KS3 to KS5.
• The ability to teach an additional subject is desirable.
• Strong commitment to creating an inclusive, engaging, and student-centered environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to collaboration.
