About the Role
The Secondary General Science Teacher will plan and deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will create a student-centered classroom that promotes curiosity, critical thinking, and independent learning. As part of a supportive science department, you will contribute to ongoing curriculum development and enrichment initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach General Science at the secondary level
- Plan differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all learners
- Monitor and assess student progress
- Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues
- Participate in professional development and school events
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- At least two years of relevant teaching experience
- Solid understanding of the English National Curriculum
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- High proficiency in English
- Confidence in using technology to enhance learning
