Role Overview: Secondary Geography Teacher
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Geography teacher who can deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 3, IGCSE, and A-Level (or equivalent). The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of contemporary global issues and physical and human geography, encouraging students to think critically and develop an appreciation for the world around them.
Responsibilities
- Teach Geography to students at Key Stage 3, IGCSE, and A-Level
- Create and implement lesson plans that promote analytical and spatial thinking
- Integrate digital tools and real-world case studies into classroom instruction
- Foster independent research and collaborative learning
- Assess and track student progress consistently
- Participate in extracurricular programs and school events
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve curriculum and teaching strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geography, Education, or a related subject
- Valid teaching license (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- Minimum of two years of teaching experience in an international or bilingual setting
- Knowledge of the Cambridge curriculum preferred
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Strong commitment to continuous professional development
- Fluent in written and spoken English
