Role Overview: Secondary History Teacher
The successful candidate will teach Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 History, following the British curriculum. You will create engaging and inquiry-based lessons that encourage critical thinking, cultural awareness, and historical understanding. You will also work collaboratively to design interdisciplinary units and contribute to co-curricular offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach History to secondary students following the British curriculum
- Develop and implement engaging, inquiry-based lesson plans
- Foster historical thinking, research skills, and evidence-based argumentation
- Assess student learning through varied methods
- Participate in school activities, assemblies, and trips that enhance historical learning
- Maintain strong communication with students, colleagues, and parents
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in History, Education, or a related field
- Recognized teaching certification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of relevant teaching experience, preferably in an international or British curriculum setting
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Technologically savvy and able to integrate digital tools effectively
- Passionate about multicultural education and student-centered learning
