Role Overview: Secondary Humanities Teacher
As a Secondary Humanities Teacher, you will deliver high-quality instruction in subjects such as history, geography, global issues, and social studies. Your role includes designing lessons that spark curiosity, encourage independent thinking, and promote cultural awareness.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging, student-centered lessons
- Teach middle and high school humanities courses using international curricula
- Assess and monitor student progress regularly
- Create an inclusive and respectful classroom environment
- Collaborate with fellow educators to plan interdisciplinary units
- Support student learning through feedback, communication, and mentorship
- Participate in school events and extracurricular activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Humanities, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching license or certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE)
- At least 2 years of teaching experience in an international or similar context
- Strong understanding of international curricula (e.g., IB, IGCSE, or similar)
- Excellent English communication skills (spoken and written)
- Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills
