The Role: Secondary Humanities Teacher
As a Secondary Humanities Teacher, you will:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in History, Geography, or Social Studies based on the Cambridge Curriculum.
- Foster critical thinking, research, and analytical skills among students.
- Create a stimulating classroom environment that encourages discussion, inquiry, and student engagement.
- Utilize modern teaching methodologies and digital learning tools to enhance lesson delivery.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, projects, and examinations.
- Provide constructive feedback and support students’ academic and personal growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and extracurricular activities.
- Maintain open communication with parents and school leadership to ensure student success.
Qualifications & Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Education, History, Geography, Social Studies, or a related field.
- A valid teaching license and professional certification as outlined in the Teacher’s Contract.
- At least two years of teaching experience, preferably in an international or British curriculum school.
- Excellent English language proficiency and strong classroom management skills.
- A student-centered teaching approach that encourages active participation and independent learning.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- The ability to integrate educational technology into lesson plans effectively.
