Role Overview
As a Secondary Humanities Teacher, you will guide middle and high school students in subjects such as history, geography, literature, and social studies. Your role will involve developing engaging lessons that encourage students to think critically, communicate effectively, and connect their learning to real-world issues. This position requires a passion for teaching, strong classroom management, and the ability to integrate Christian values into the humanities curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver lessons in humanities subjects for secondary students
- Create a classroom environment that fosters inquiry, discussion, and collaboration
- Assess student progress and provide timely feedback to support academic growth
- Integrate technology to enhance learning experiences
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and school-wide initiatives
- Build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff
- Contribute to extracurricular activities and community life within the school
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Humanities, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of three years’ teaching experience, preferably in international schools
- Strong knowledge of secondary humanities subjects and international curricula
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Commitment to professional development and continuous growth
- High proficiency in spoken and written English
- Enthusiasm for teaching in a diverse, international Christian school environment
