About International Pioneers School
Established in August 1998, International Pioneers School (IPS) has grown from a kindergarten into a full-fledged international school offering education from Kindergarten through Year 13. Located in the heart of Bangkok, IPS delivers the National Curriculum for England, adapted to meet the needs of both local and international students.
At IPS, students in Year 11 prepare for the Cambridge IGCSE examinations, followed by Pearson Edexcel or Cambridge International AS and A Level examinations in Years 12 and 13. This academic structure ensures our students are benchmarked against international standards and prepared for higher education around the world.
About the Role
As a Secondary Humanities Teacher, you will:
- Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons in subjects such as History, Geography, and Global Perspectives
- Develop students’ critical thinking, research, and communication skills
- Plan and assess in line with the British Curriculum and international standards
- Foster a classroom culture that values academic inquiry, inclusivity, and respect
- Support extracurricular initiatives and school events
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching strategies and student outcomes
- Integrate educational technology to enhance learning experiences
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Humanities or a related subject
- Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a similar role
- Solid understanding of the British Curriculum and assessment methods
- Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
- High level of English language proficiency
- Motivation to work in a culturally diverse school community
- Commitment to continuous professional development
