Role Summary: Secondary ICT/Design Technology Teacher
The Secondary ICT/DT Teacher will deliver high-quality instruction in digital literacy, computing, and design technology. You will design and teach a curriculum that builds practical technology skills, encourages problem-solving, and fosters creativity. Key responsibilities include developing lesson plans, integrating hands-on projects, and using educational technology tools to enhance student learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach ICT and Design Technology to secondary school students
- Develop engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans and projects
- Guide students in programming, digital design, and product creation
- Promote safe and responsible use of technology
- Encourage creativity, innovation, and critical thinking in the classroom
- Collaborate with other teachers to create interdisciplinary learning experiences
- Assess student work and provide constructive feedback to support growth
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in ICT, Design Technology, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching license or international certification (e.g., PGCE, QTS)
- Minimum of two years of teaching experience in ICT or DT at the secondary level
- Strong technical skills and familiarity with educational software and hardware
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment and contribute to school initiatives
- Proactive, creative, and committed to professional development
