Role Overview: Secondary ICT Teacher
The Secondary ICT Teacher will deliver engaging, project-based instruction to students at the lower and upper secondary levels. You will help learners build practical computing skills while developing digital literacy, cybersecurity awareness, and creative problem-solving abilities. Experience with IGCSE and A-Level ICT or Computer Science is a strong advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach ICT to students in Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5
- Create interactive lessons that develop both technical skills and theoretical knowledge
- Guide students through coursework and external examination preparation
- Foster an understanding of emerging technologies and digital ethics
- Integrate technology into cross-curricular projects
- Encourage participation in coding clubs, digital competitions, and tech-related extracurriculars
- Provide feedback that supports student growth and achievement
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum design and ICT initiatives across the school
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in ICT, Computer Science, or a related discipline
- Teaching certification such as PGCE, QTS, or international equivalent
- Minimum of two years’ experience teaching ICT at the secondary level
- Familiarity with the Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level ICT curriculum preferred
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Technologically confident and innovative in lesson delivery
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written
- Committed to continuous learning and professional development
