Role Overview: Secondary ICT Teacher
The Secondary ICT Teacher will lead engaging lessons that build students’ skills in computing, digital literacy, and information technology. The ideal candidate brings innovation to the classroom and encourages students to solve problems, build applications, and explore emerging technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver ICT lessons that align with international educational standards
- Teach topics such as computer programming, digital systems, cybersecurity, and media literacy
- Guide students through project-based learning and encourage technological creativity
- Assess student learning regularly and provide meaningful feedback
- Collaborate with other teachers to integrate ICT across the curriculum
- Promote responsible and ethical use of technology
- Support extracurricular activities such as coding clubs, robotics, or tech competitions
- Participate in schoolwide initiatives and professional development programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in ICT, Computer Science, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years of ICT teaching experience, preferably in an international or bilingual setting
- Strong knowledge of modern ICT tools, platforms, and programming languages
- Excellent classroom management and student engagement skills
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Demonstrated passion for innovation and educational technology
- Proactive, organized, and enthusiastic about working in a collaborative school environment
