Role Overview: Secondary ICT Teacher
As a Secondary ICT Teacher, you will deliver engaging and practical instruction in Information and Communication Technology to students in Key Stages 3 and 4. You will teach concepts such as computational thinking, coding, digital literacy, and IT applications in alignment with the British curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and teach effective ICT lessons that meet British curriculum standards
- Use interactive tools and software to develop student tech fluency
- Promote safe and ethical use of technology in all learning activities
- Evaluate student performance using diverse assessment strategies
- Support ICT-related clubs, competitions, or innovation labs
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate ICT into cross-curricular learning
- Maintain strong communication with parents and the wider school community
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in ICT, Computer Science, or Education
- Recognized teaching credential (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years’ ICT teaching experience, ideally in a British curriculum school
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Skilled in classroom management and tech-enhanced instruction
- Enthusiastic about international education and student engagement
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset
