Position Overview: Secondary ICT Teacher

As a Secondary ICT Teacher at MISA, you will deliver engaging and relevant lessons in information and communication technology to middle and high school students. Your instruction will foster digital fluency, problem-solving, and responsible use of technology in alignment with the Cambridge or IB curriculum.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach ICT subjects to secondary-level students using international curriculum standards
• Create engaging, hands-on lessons that develop both technical and analytical skills
• Support students in learning coding, digital literacy, and IT systems concepts
• Incorporate educational technologies to enhance classroom learning
• Monitor and assess student progress regularly to inform instruction
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve curriculum planning and teaching strategies
• Foster a respectful, inclusive, and tech-savvy classroom environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in ICT, Computer Science, Education, or a related field
• Valid teaching license or internationally recognized certification (e.g., PGCE, QTS)
• At least 2 years of experience teaching ICT at the secondary level
• Strong knowledge of computer science, educational software, and coding basics
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• High level of proficiency in English (spoken and written)
• Ability to take initiative, work independently, and contribute to school-wide initiatives
• Prior experience with the Cambridge or IB curriculum is an advantage
